Salud, Torchbearers! We know that across this nation many of you are meeting the physical and spiritual needs of God's children. In the daily crossfire, there is often not enough time, staff, or money to do adequate development work.
Torch of Faith wants to help you. We assist nonprofits (and small churches) with fundraising and publicity, especially those who don't have hugebudgets, national notoriety, or luxurious endowments. We want to help you in a frugal way. Through this we hope to carry the torch of faith between those who have and those who have much less. Our staff and board strategize with each organization to maximize the visibility, growth, and impact of its ministry. We help with newsletters, funding appeals, websites, and fundraisers called Torch Treks. In '04 and '05, our Trek was Bike the Border, which relocated to Texas in '08. From '06 - '10 we sponsored the Trinity Trek benefitting WestAid in Fort Worth, Texas. Our new Trek is The Jim Wells Walkabout, and the inaugural effort took place on November 12, 2011 (see note above).
In addition to development work, our Director, Krin Van Tatenhove, wants to spread the news of Christ's transforming presence through writing. Read one of our Torch Books (link on left) and check out our newest project, "Christ Across America."
