Krin Van Tatenhove, Director of Torch of Faith, has long had a passkrin copyion for promoting mission outreach. He calls himself a “Matthew 25 Christian,” finding his strongest experiences of Jesus while serving those in greatest need.

Krin has a B.A. in English from California State University, a Master’s of Divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago. He has experience as a teacher, administrator, Army Chaplain, and Hospice chaplain. Ordained in the Presbyterian Church (USA), he currently serves as Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Alice, Texas. He was also a project coordinator for two recent programs of Trinity Habitat for Humanity.

Krin says, “Mobilizing people to serve the world around them is my highest passion! What a privilege it is to pour out our lives for others. In those moments, we experience the truth of Jesus’ saying, “to find ourselves, we must lose ourselves.”

Krin looks forward to many years of partnering with organizations and individuals to further the Matthew 25 mission of Christ’s people.
